Sales Manager Position Contract

Job brief:

Sales Manager must organize and oversee the development and delivery of Fire Escape Services Network associates and affiliates selling of products and services. The position is responsible for revenue growth through proficiency of all sales related processes, hiring, training and personnel. This will require a strong enforcement of Systems Management, consistent training, achievement of sales goals, high customer satisfaction and organizational interface with all departments.

  • Achieving revenue growth goals by meeting our customer acquisition and personnel growth targets to keep our company competitive and innovative.
  • Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan for both inbound and outbound calls that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence and justifying those plans to the upper management.
  • Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching, training, and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
  • Strong decision-making skills, a results-driven approach, and problem-solving ability is expected.
  • The sales team proficiency and performance will be monitored by a productive Systems Controlled process that meets or exceeds customer requirements and expectations.
  • Must consistently communicate both upstream and downstream all pertinent information to the System through Workplace, video, and analog means for the immediate consumption of all personnel.
  • Formulate, communicate, and train process distinctions between residential and commercial clients. Testing for all employee levels is a requirement.
  • Documented plan for employees that primarily communicate with analog means and digital means. Sales Manager must identify which employees are digital and analog communicators and train accordingly to a 75% - 25% ratio.

Responsibilities

  • Structure- Design daily schedule and time block workflow initiatives for sales personnel with upper management approval and review
  • Training- Originsof process must be utilized in the training and coaching. A consistently updated training manual will be utilized for all sales personnel for consistency of message and product delivered. The sales manager will have an organized plan for training personnel in written form to include topics, weekly schedule, and format for both initial and ongoing training. Scripting is a major priority for the Sales Manager. He or she will utilize a three-phase approach: reading, memorization, and internalization. Internalization will be confirmed through video confirmations. All Sales personnel will begin training with residential clients. Technical fire escape training and product knowledge will be an ongoing process. Education is a must for all sales department employees to maintain proficiency. 75% initial grades, 80% to 90% for established employees and 90% to 100% for advancement.
  • Recruiting- The Sales Manager will continually review resume’s, interview candidates, and ensure the best Company suited talent available. Resume review and subsequent interview will be conducted on a weekly basis. Recruiting is primarily to grow the department or to replace existing personnel.
  • Systems- The Sales Manager will conduct business based upon the principles and Systems of E myth that are written, evaluated, and approved by upper management. The Systems management approach takes into consideration multiple offices and the franchise model for consistency of process and message. Any changes that are made in the future must be documented and approved before utilization. Systems will be managed and monitored by the sales manager. The sales personnel that he or she oversees will follow all systems. Re-training or disciplinary actions for personnel will be based upon sales performance and Systems utilization or lack thereof. The Sales Manager must be certified in E Myth systems and processes or equivalent.
  • Reporting and Monitoring- The Sales Manager will monitor all forms of reporting from sales personnel and all departments via a digital communication platform and interactions with department heads based on Systems approach. Reporting to the System will be clear and consistent by the Sales Manager and sales personnel. A documented process of communication will be approved by upper management and utilized by all sales personnel.
  • Planning, Forecasts and Goals- A strategic overall Sales Plan will be designed, approved, and implemented by the Sales Manager. This plan will include forecasts
  • budgets, personnel needs, department structure, training, market penetration, competition, and marketing plan. All plans will be reviewed and approved by upper management for both inbound and outbound calls.
  • Pricing- Standards will be in written form for all pricing of Products and Services offered to clients. The Sales Manager will confer with the Production Manager on all projects for accuracy. There must be agreement by a senior member of a department and or a department head to proceed with pricing a proposal. The information will be disseminated to sales personnel for proposal delivery. Client jacket documentation will include and excel cost calculation.
  • Follow up- The Sales Manager will utilize the existing systems and reporting to devise a consistent, methodical, and accurate follow up plan of all proposals and existing projects to ensure strong closing ratios and revenue growth for the sales department. The Sales Manager is responsible for 5-year current client re-inspections, formerly proposed re-inspections and corrosion plans for existing clients.
  • Financing- A Client based 0% financing plan will be offered to every client utilizing standards and practices approved by upper management. The financing plans will be used on certain projects for a 3 month to 12-month duration depending on the client and the length of project.
  • Budgets- The sales Manager will be involved in all budget meeting. He or she will provide data and projections for budget planning.
  • Accounting- The Sales Manager in association with the Project Manager will communicate all closes with the accounting department for the purposes of billing and invoicing on all projects. The sales manager will monitor all projects for phase completion for accurate communication and billing. Once the Project is deemed complete, the Sales Manager will request letters of reference and procure referrals. The Sales Manager will monitor client retention and client satisfaction.
  • Project Planning- The Sales Manager will monitor all ongoing projects by virtue of updated excel spreadsheets, project planning meetings and interface with Production and Operations Managers. The Sales manager will communicate downstream to the specialist involved in projects.

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field or equivalent.
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets in a systems based not people management based company.
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences. Must pass certification testing for position.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence with credibly effectively at all levels of the client organization.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close. Show system processes, flow charts, continued education, testing and revenue growth from previous positions.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise. Ability to work and manage a system management process.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and system management skills.
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts with proven documentation.
  • Experience in reporting on key sales metrics.
  • Proficient in Computer and Application operation and file management including Dropbox, file naming and editing.
  • Proficient in MS Office (full suite) and ERP software (Salesforce, Seed Code, ActOn etc.), Adobe Acrobat (Adobe Suite competency preferred) and YouTube,
